Joel Rumbolo shares his experience of the 21 day retreat:
 The Fijians are beautiful loving people with hearts that explode with happiness at the sight of another. Their greeting "Bula" means Life and they live it with an innocence and joy that is contagious. This was the perfect setting for a teaching that is all about living spontaneously from the heart, from that deep purity of consciousness. The retreat was the most profound experience I have ever had. One because Sandy and I finally shared in it together and two because of the deepening of experience beyond any thing I imagined was possible. I have often thought that I needed to drop all the spiritual knowledge I had gathered over 35 years of seeking enlightenment and thought I would spend the rest of my life doing so. Instead it happened very quickly. Just slipping beyond the stillness and peace I was experiencing to a place of unknowing, a leap that was as natural as diving into the ocean of Fiji.
Bernie is self realized meaning he never had a teacher so what he talks about has a new twist that is fresh and real in every day living. He teaches a movement called "The Form" that establishes deep presence while moving. The field of Consciousness is easily experienced and is seen as ones natural Self. This is reflected back in a real way by the wonderment and beauty of perceptions in every day life. The closest analogy would be seeing the finest relative in every thing and in all others without mind or ego in the way. All beyond any flashy transcendental experience, just a spontaneous living established as Being in activity.
Being is Love and seeing that reflected back in Sandy's eyes is a joy beyond words. Emotional love filled with needs and wanting is a pale reflection of what we have in our lives now. And I see that Love in the most mundane encounters with others. There is a deep tie to everyone now. The beauty in others is Being and the sight of it is filled with light, joy and stillness. I now know that I am infinite, untouched by life's ups and downs. Life is now embraced in unknowing and spontaneity in such a practical way. My mind is clear of noise. The intellect is sharp and clean to discern quickly what is needed to be done. So "Bula", I live in joy and wonderment, beauty in all things and love for everyone.
